FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
DECEMBER 16, 2014
BRENTWOOD, TENN., The Pharm Psych Network starts its #BlackOut Business Movement, an endeavor of BlackSpeaks.com, one of its sister sites and the online social enterprise project — all aimed at supporting minority businesses and communities.
The network created BlackOut Business Movement on the BlackSpeaks.com platform to urge more minorities to support minority businesses in the face of a struggling economy and joblessness.
It is inspired by the boycott of major retailers around the country on Black Friday after Thanksgiving Day this year in solidarity with the nationwide protestations in Ferguson, Mo., New York City, Cleveland and other cities.
Visitors — particular minority business owners — to the BlackSpeaks site are asked to list their businesses in the minority business directory online and for non-owners to frequent their businesses. Geography is key as businesses listed should represent every region of the country in terms of location.
Furthermore, patrons are asked to like the movement and BlackSpeaks and follow both on social media.
The PharmPsych network, a medical and educational communications company, includes its anchor site, PharmPsych.net, its medical sites PharmPsych.com, MediPreneur.org and PharmaPreneur.org, BlackSpeaks.com, and its educational sites TutorforGood.org, FelicityMotivational.org and FelicityTutors.com.
F Zaria Chinelo, the founding CEO and president of the PharmPsych network, is a pharmacist, artist, scientist, and entrepreneur. Chinelo possesses six years of experience in teaching education, and web development. She holds dual degrees in molecular biology and general chemistry.
After being hired by Vanderbilt University, Chinelo led urban students to academic success before starting the nonprofit Felicity Motivational Group. She has been honored as a National Merit Scholar and by Texas Instruments for her achievements.
